By actually working in and understanding the industry we are able to converse with and interview our candidates fully in their duties. This also enables us to define a Job Description/Person Specification and understand exactly what a Client is looking for. Shirley Croucher MIRP DipRP, one of our founding Directors, worked for L&G Recruitment for almost 10 years prior to it’s closure in 2005. At this point she transferred her knowledge and experience of both the Recruitment and Insurance Industries to AMC Insurance Appointments.
Shirley Croucher FIRP DipRP
Shirley previously gained a great deal of technical, claims and account handling experience having worked for various Lloyd's Brokers before entering the recruitment field in 1996. During 1999-2000, Shirley successfully passed her professional recruitment examinations, namely the Certificate in Recruitment Practice (now known as the Diploma in Recruitment Practice). She is one of the founding Directors of AMC.
Chris Croucher MIRP
Chris is AMC’s other founding Director, having joined from Aspen Re where he was Operations Manager. Chris became AMC's Managing Director in June 2006. Chris has a unique insight into the full life cycle of Insurance & Reinsurance placed in London, having held a number of senior positions within the Lloyd's, London Company and Broking environments. He also has extensive experience of recruitment needs and regulation as a result of his heavy involvement in setting up new teams and departments from scratch.
Alan Hastings is AMC's Company Secretary and spent his entire career working in the London Market, including holding the position of Reinsurance Claims Manager at a highly respected Lloyd's Broker. Alan retired from the insurance industry in 2002 and in addition to his duties as Company Secretary, acts in a consultancy capacity for AMC on specific technical issues.
