Independent Broker Only Underwriting Agency based in Essex is looking for an Operations Manager. Working closely with the Directors of the company, the duties will be wide and varied to include an active involvement in the following areas of the business: MI, Documentation, Audits, Binding Authorities, Products and Compliance. You will also be responsible for staff related matters such as managing the small Administration team, as well as Appraisals and Training. In addition, you will be responsible for third party provider relationships and work closely with senior stakeholders on business strategy and change.
This exciting opportunity would suit someone that might currently be working on their own or in a small firm or has done so previously and has therefore been exposed to all the issues that a small growing business comes across from insurance/customer issues to the day to day running and pushing the company forward. We would also be particularly interested in receiving applications with the relevant experience gained in a wholesale/MGA environment and having dealt with UK business in commercial/liability areas

Their proposition is for Insurance Professionals who have become disaffected with corporate life (for example on the back of numerous Mergers & Acquisitions) and who are keen to start their own Insurance Broking business. Insurance Technician(s) – to £17,500 – Bedford
We are currently seeking individuals with a willing and enthusiastic nature, coupled with a genuine interest in developing a career within the insurance sector. Previous office work experience is required and ideally a grounding within or / some exposure to the insurance industry – although this is not essential as training will be provided.
The role of the technician will be to provide a reliable and accurate back office function to London teams, which will include input and checking of information, production and processing of documentation, running of reports etc. A good grasp of Excel would be useful, in addition to strong general computer skills. Proven time management ability and good attention to detail are also necessary skills.
